What's up?

In Sweden? The sun.

Officially, the sun sets at 9:45pm.

This was outside my room at 8:30pm.

8:30pm

And then at 9:30pm.

9:30pm

I keep glancing outside and thinking, it's still light out, it can't be that late. Then I look at my clock. This was 10pm.

10:00pm

At 11:30pm it was at least starting to look dark.

11:30pm

The sun should not still be visible at 12:30am.

12:30am

And the never ending sunset continues. 1:30am.

1:30am

Or maybe it's actually a sunrise? 2am

2:00am

Sunrise is officially at 3:45am. 2:30am

2:30am

And 3am.

3:00am

So the sun never actually sets. My blinds aren't bad but light still gets in. As lovely as it is to see the sun after 6 hour days in the winter, it's making it very difficult to sleep.

I'm only in Sweden for a few more weeks and then I'm off to travel the rest of Europe until the end of July. I will (hopefully) post during the summer, although expect very short posts.

  1. Did you stay up all night to take those? Also, have fun travelling! I'm very jealous. Where are you going?

  2. I only stayed up until 3am. And I'm a night person anyway.
I'm starting my trip in Paris, working my way through Germany, and then around near Italy.
